Hmm, what exactly happened after what we saw in Alex’s last 12-year-old dream? {Speculating} Maybe the Sword used its magic to save itself and Alex from the dragon by erasing the Tomb? Maybe the Tomb isn’t needed anymore now that a ‘King’ has taken up the Sword? (Which might also explain how it shows up in the waking world as a pendant on a necklace.)

Guess we’ll find out, huh?
