Simple answer: it just twists and bends inbetween the panels and, in one of those freak coincidences (that seem to happen far too often), they are in the same shape at the moment of the two ‘snapshots’. ;P

Oh, and since I’m posting, go Dreamland Chronicles! I love this comic. The only thing that would make it better would be for there to be even more of it – but as Scott is only human, and can’t split himself into numerous duplicates of himself, this is something we (the unwashed masses) will just have to come to terms with. ;)
