To Scott: Hehe… thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was something like that.

To Tory: I know that many anime characters who wear glasses often seem to have them in extra large. Somehow I’ve got the feeling that there the problem is similar. Just in this case the glasses need to be big enough to be able to see the eyes (which are also extra large, usually ).

To Val: I maybe should have stated that I’m wearing glasses since I’m eleven, so I too know what it’s like. I hope your daughter will adjust to her glasses a bit better in the future – or will grow out her bad eye sight. Depending on the manner of the correction it can be difficult to cope with glasses, I know…

On the glasses thing – I wear glasses all the time because I have rather severe astigmatism, which just means that everything is blurry unless it is exactly two feet away from me. So that could be it. However, since Nicole and Dan DO rarely seem to look through their glasses: I do know a few people who keep their reading glasses low on their nose at all times and just look down through them when they have to read a book.

Chances are, the glasses would have blocked their eyes and hindered expression like you suggested. Most glasses-wearing characters in comics have ridiculously oversize lenses, you’ll notice. ;P And most of them seem to need glasses all the time like me. So who knows?

I’ve seen Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center suggested instead of the Empire State, simply because the latter is a pain in the neck to get into.
