I think something’s up with the pony. It’s reminded her of a memory she had of being in Dreamland. Maybe of the centaurs. I still wonder, though, what are the chances that she just HAPPENED to be best friends with Felicity, one of the main characters? And this is my favorite online comic, by the way, of all time. I love this!!! *bounces*

One way to do a crossover is as a mutual “cameo.” It can be canon, so long as the crossover character does not become a major part of the story line. The crossover character can have an important conversation, can move some major part of the scenery, etc., but must not require that you fully understand the character’s backstory to make your story complete. That said, if you do know the backstory, it should not contradict anything in either canon.
