Is it just me? Or does picture make me think of Legend of Zelda?

If you think about it, there are some simalier elements. You know, the whole fake ruler, pulling the sword and not coming back for eight (seven in Zelda) years, more-than-one love intrest, old friends, and a princess trying to protect her people?

I just have to post on this one! I love this piece of art! Scott doesn't often show his "emotional side" but he was shocked when he heard about Mike! This art is a sweet reminder of a really nice man!
Enjoy!
We all love and appreciate you so very much!

Scott -

If you're interested in my idea, I had a few more points that occurred to me. If you decide to go with an LCD projector....

1) Look at ones with zoom lenses. They're more expensive, but they let you make the projected image bigger or smaller without having to move the projector back and forth. You can also shrink down the image to make it brighter if there's a lot of light in the room.
2) I don't know if this is an available feature, but if you can get a projector with a tripod mount, you can set it up where it needs to go and raise and lower it a lot more easily - as long as you don't mind lugging a tripod around.
3) If you can set it on its side, you can project your images in portrait mode - taller than wide. (You just have to rotate your images 90 degrees ahead of time so they'll come out right.) If you can put the projector on a tripod mount, most of those already let you flip the mounting block 90 degrees.

One more thing. If you haven't scoped it out yet, look at the Apple iWork software package presentation program: Keynote. It is supposed to blow PowerPoint away.

http://www.apple.com/iwork/keynote/

Considering how much of what you're doing involves computer graphics already, I'd think this could really work for you.

Good luck!

Ringo IS one of the all-time greats ... as an artist and more importantly as a person ... his early departure changes that not one bit either way. He is the kinda guy that all this nice talk AFTER his departure is absolutely no different than BEFORE his departure. One does not have to "romanticize" who he was. He WAS a truly great guy, and he left us all many things of wonder and beauty and stories to tell forever.

Ringo is an all-time great ... and you got a piece of his original art ... priceless ... just like you are to us as well Scott ... you too are one of the all-time great guys.

Thanks for sharing yourself with us through your stories and art.

Just a thought Scott, about getting those posters right. I don't know if this would work or not, but if you got some kind of LCD projector like those used for computer-driven slide shows/powerpoint demos, you could project your designs at the size you intend them to be. Granted, you might not be able to get the resolution/color accuracy you can get on your monitor - but it might be good enough to give you a feel for how the design works at the size you're going for.

With luck, you might be able to find some computer place that will let you try a few images on their equipment, so you can see if it would be worth renting or buying something.

Hmmm. Sounds like you could almost make a case for getting that big projection TV system you've always wanted. ;-) (And if you already have one, well if you haven't found a way to run a display from your computer through it, this would be a good time to try.)

Come to think of it, for what you're probably going to spend on those posters, you could probably buy an LCD projector and use your MacBook Air to drive it while you're at shows. All you'd need would be some surface to project on (out of direct sunlight). You could not only run a whole series of images, you could project anything you wanted, including some of those animations you did a while back.

What you could do is, get something like a large banner/sign printed up with "The Dreamland Chronicles", "Blue Dream Studios", or "Scott Christian Sava World Tour", etc. to frame around a large clear white area on which you would project your show. It would be a static backdrop when you turned the projector off, and you could roll it up for transport.

Just a thought. Glad to hear the medical treatments are working - and so are you. Have a good weekend.
