there is a spelling typo I don't think anyone pointed out... precisely not "precisesly" in the 3rd panel.
looks great! I think the blue lighting was an awesome choice. :)

I don't think Orion is necessarily out of line when it comes to stressing the secrecy of what he has to say to Daniel. True, he has already discussed it in general with Alex, but in this case it may be important enough to make it clear just how important it is. If that makes sense.

And yes, Orion, as an educated elder would probably speak grammatically correctly: This is between Daniel and me. A small point, perhaps, but it is of such small points that character is built.

Well Foxby, as Zeb said, it's not so much that it's dialogue, it's the person speaking.

And sorry Lily, that grammar checking program is wrong.

Why are people being nitpicky about grammar when it's all dialogue?

Daniel being the true king... I thought of that. The fact is, though, I'm not sure if I actually kinda guessed it or it is just me wanting it to happen.

Well, guess I'll have to wait and see!

"This message is between Daniel and me."
A good way to sanity check your grammar in instances like this is to reverse the order of the two people.
One might say "between me and Daniel."
No one would ever say "between I and Daniel".
Position in the sentence has no bearing on the proper word choice. As GrammarNazi pointed out, it is the part of speech which determines the correct choice. In this case, the first person pronoun is an object of the preposition "between". If you check your grammar books, as NeoDarklight has, you'll see that the objective case for the first person singular pronoun is "me" always and never "I".

As for the discussion on "who cares about proper grammar?" there are clearly several people who do. From my view, even though it's a fantasy comic and people frequently use improper grammar in real life, Orion is supposed to be amongst the erudite. If no other person in Dreamland would know or care about speaking properly, he would.

If anyone wants to argue with me, I'll tell you now; I still have that lesson from comp 1 fresh in my brain. I don't care WHO you are, what I said about the grammar is STRAIGHT from the textbook.
