See hypercorrection. As children when we say "me and Billy went..." we're told "Billy and I!" without any clue about when that's more correct. "Nicole and myself" sounds to me like attempted pomposity.

I too would have let the grammar go–except that it’s not like Dan to make that error.

He and Nicole are the studious nerds. They have to be right. It’s their thing.

Have a great time at the con I’m just a *little* bit frustrated that I’m swedish so it would be too costly timewise AND moneywise to be there *sigh* and also…
This is among my top 3 webcomics along with Digger and Misfile (can’t however decide in what order ;P)

If it were Alex saying it, I’d say maybe he doesn’t know any better. Lot’s of people get it wrong. Even if it’s the author’s fault, sometimes bad grammar can add to the character. But this is Dan we’re talking about. He seems less likely to make that mistake.
