It makes sense that we would not know what is in the letter. This is as much a story about Dreamlands through the eyes of Alex (with some exceptions) as it is about Dreamlands overall. If Alex not knowing the contents of the letter is a critical part of the story, it is better that we not know either.

I like the way Dan reacted – it was actually not what I expected, though I really didn’t know what to expect. The idea that Orion could tell Dan something he would accept, and apparently without question, is wonderful all by itself. That it would make him tear up adds even more.

As for Alex’s reaction, when Dan tells him it’s kind of private, well I’ve got a different take on it. It’s not that Alex is self-centered so much (though he is a bit), it’s that there’s something Dan doesn’t want to tell him – and they are twins. Even though they are very different, at the core they have a bond which supersedes most things – but not this. Alex has just bumped into something that they can’t share for some reason, and that doesn’t happen very often.

Ah, the story is moving along… And the voting is still underway.

I am voting for TDC in TWC and TGTWebcomics as often as I can, and I’d like to ask for help with another bracket: Bracket 3 is Girl Genius vs Eben07. I am a fan of Studio Foglio from WAY back. and would very much like to hear Phil and Kaja on the TGTWebcomics podcast again. So, while you are over there voting for Scott Sazve and TDC, please help spread the love and vote for Phil Foglio and Cheyenne Wright in Bracket 3.
