Or, if that won’t work without the bag, perhaps Alex could wear a cheap T-shirt to bed that Nicole wrote her message on?

Also, I know how Nicole could prove to the scientific community that Alex either has high psychic potential or that he is somehow able to interact in a dream state with stuff he wears or carries. They could have skeptics write a short, secret message (envelope, etc.) and have Alex wear it or hold it (without seeing the contents), videotaping the who thing. In Dreamland he can read the message and when he wakes up he can tell them what it is. Repeated numerous times, with lots of witnesses, that might be enough to convince even Randy the Skeptic and win a $2 mil prize.

If the bag doesn’t go in panel 2 then the ones in between don’t make any sense or buildup.
