And so glad you all enjoyed reading Nicole’s letter to Felicity.
For one day only…here’s Felicity’s letter.
Now…a few things to consider.
1) This is NOT in continuity. Nicole’s letter is at ONE point of a 3 week period. Felicity’s is at another. They don’t correspond to one another.
2) Obviously this is AFTER Felicity is able to write for herself. I don’t think Nastajia would appreciate Felicity talking about Alex’s…well…you know.
3) Since this is covered up in the book…although it’s a little “saucy” for kids…I’m confident that it’ll be OK for the book.

Don’t worry, Top Web Comics is a little slower to update then Dreamland is, their servers simply haven’t reset yet. Just wait a couple hours, and Felicity’s letter should appear.

Actually it will count the vote. The IP’s of who voted are reset at the same time all the incentives are updated, so it should count again.
Putting the letters as incentive was BRILLIANT! Here’s hoping you hit #1 because of it.
Wow that was close. Came on to check to updated comic, and thought I missed out on seeing yesterday’s letter! I’ll have to check back in about 10 minutes to see if the new one is up.

Open a new window and save it into your favorites. That way, you don’t need a button. My internet routine- go through each favorite button in my favorite’s tab daily (so, obviously, I don’t have tons of favorites). Since the voting is in my favorite’s tab…well, you get the drift.
As of 1:07 CST, the first letter is still up. Also, “You can vote again in 0 hours.”
I gotta go to bed; I’ll vote again (and hopefully see the new letter) in the morning.

LOVE the letters as vote incentives, agree that the obscurity of the twc button is truly bizarre. if you want to participate in TWC, please put the button at the top of every page, built into the site structure?
the dear nicole letter’s font is fine and i like the second half, but the first half, while expressing HOW felicity feels, is not in her tone of voice whatsoever. that feels like it was written by nastajia or even nicole. felicity simply wouldn’t say it like that ‘it’s best for now to whatever’ – she’s just not that formal and she laughs at people who are. it doesn’t feel…authentic – best it is covered up for the comic.
totally in love with felicity’s letter. trust her to bring up nicole’s rejection. really awesome.

I love the letters, I wish they were able to meet again. It`s funny when I saw the word DATE on the page of today I thought she was writing about Daniel, but it was Alex. I think Nicole and Felicity have a very different taste in men, lol.

Man, it sure is nice to see Felicity up and awake again. Seems like forever since we saw her looking good and alert. Good job, Scott! Another beautiful page.
Strangely, Felicity looks kind of spindly here with a long neck and thin arms. Are her proportions the same? I suspect it’s more the case of her looking the more natural when she’s in motion. Sitting in one place make her look a bit ill!
Indeed, I noticed the same .She also looks a bit older too. However, we have to remember that she’s been in a really bad state, and mental “torment” has been known to make people loose weight quite fast.

Hey, Scott. Sorry I missed Nicole’s letter but I was away having eye surgery. I think the letters as incentives is a brilliant idea though, and enjoyed reading Felicity’s letter. Loving the montages, as well!
Alex’s biggest accomplishment is falling! ROFL. And Felicity’s letter is awesome. This made my day. I really loved it.
I think Felicty’s letter suits her just fine, and perhaps its a good thing that we won’t see Nicole’s response, LOL! I can easily see Felicity being formal when the situation calls for it, or maybe she’s been adopting Nastajia’s mannerisms in all the time and bonding that the girls have been doing. (The next two pages are going to ROCK! I busted up laughing catching a repeat of the Livestream.) Anyway, since we’re not supposed to see the letters again (Thank you for the letters, Scott) I guess our thoughts don’t really matter.
Poor Paddingtom must be in heck, surrounded by creatures who can’t dance and unable to move on to find better students, but it is nice for once that our time is quicker then their time, 4 days = 3 weeks, as opposed to months = a night in Dreamland and a day with Dan and Nicole…which is still better then waiting for next June for Book 4 .*sheepish grin*
Oh and “heated debate becomes mutal respect which becomes a romantic relationship by the end of Book 6.” Any takers?

Worst case senario, Nicole starts believing Alex (and to a lesser extent, Dan) are making fun of her again, breaks Dan’s heart and unleashes messy, bloody retribution on poor Alex, whose buns are REALLY gonna hurt!
…Bah. I saw yesterday’s page early in the day, so I didn’t see the incentive go up. Ah well.
Was definately interesting reading Felicity’s letter! I guess I’m the only one to think of the really terrible line of Nicole liking brains not buns. I am so sorry for that one, folks.

I dunno how particular you are about typos, but it should be “Falling becomes Alexander’s biggest accomplishment” – you forgot the apostrophe.
I thought about that.
But I always thought if you put an apostrophe after it means Alexander is.

Secondly, I’m afraid Brenan’s right. You need an apostrophe to Alexander to make it possessive. The only case when the apostrophe makes it ‘is’ is for the word “it”.

As a contraction of “Alexander is”? That form of contraction has made it’s way into spoken English arguably through a “lazy tongue” or unintentional mis-use, but I think it is technically not “correct written English grammar,” if there is such a thing anymore.
I haven’t taken an English course in a long time, and my quick google searches have shown me that people at least WRITE that way, but I can’t fiind anywhere that says it’s PROPER to write that way.
Oh… and I didn’t see anything to say it’s WRONG to use it that way, either.
Maybe I don’t know how to formulate a search to bring up the right grammer rule.
And either way, authors write in their own style and in the voice of their characters, and are not beholden to all grammar rules of the written language when writing dialogue or narrative prose.
Actually an apostrophe is used correctly for both possessive and contraction. As a contraction it can stand in for is (as in Alexander’s a nice guy) and for has (as in Alexander’s never been too bright).
The only case where a possessive does not have an apostrophe is in pronouns: the book’s cover, Alexander’s accomplishment, but its front, his head.
Yeah, it means both, to be honest.
“Alexander’s Dan’s brother, you know”
and
“Alexander’s brother is Dan”
are both proper uses of the apostrophe.
Huh, it seems like the Macarena might be something centaurs would be able to do. Like the ‘Hand Jive’.

I can’t believe what Felicity said in her letter! Hilarious and a little scary at the same time. I sense a potential love triangle! I hope I’m wrong.
Someone mentioned the “tone” of the begin of Felicity’s letter not being “her style” . I beg to differ.
Felicity seems the type of girl that has much more going on behind her “cool, tough, happy-go-lucky” exterior. It only gets out when she’s really distraught, or is so fond of someone, she’ll let her “true” self shine through.
I’ve seen it with a lot of kids that are afraid of showing their true character, depth, intelligence, because-in their minds- it would ruin their tough/worrieless etc. image. It sometimes takes a jarring experience(like having been close to death!…) to snap that kind of person out of their ” Image” .
On Paddington and “dancing centaurs”? If he’s indeed one of the best or the best dance-instructor, he’ll invent a completely unique dance for the centaurs(and why, if i say “Paddington teaching dancing centaurs”, do I keep hearing The Peer Gynth-suite’s “In the hall of the mountain-king”????)
That might be upcoming in the next 2 days. We’ll see!
