With the montages over…we’re back in the real world. Nicole’s not quite ready to let go of her correspondence to Felicity. Not just yet.
But we’ll see how it turns out.
Some new things to mention.
1) We now have MORE avatars that will be randomly generated for you (if you choose not to get your own).
2) I’m putting up Fan Art now. FINALLY.

I’m noticing how emotionally involved Nicole is. And how she sounds a bit vulnerable.
Quite a change from the cranky realist she was when she first met these two.
Yeah, Nicole’s development as a character has been awesome recently. It’s really shown her growing and expanding her ideas of reality, as well as deepening her friendship with the guys.
I vote for a livestream to celebrate (though, I admit that I probably won’t be able to join as I have a previous work engagement), unless you totally surprise us tomorrow.
I love the sexy Alex avatar that I’ve been getting on mine, but either someone is using my name on Gravitar, or I’m using the wrong e-mail. I SO want to keep sexy Alex.
P.S. Please keep the bag with you, PLEASE KEEP THE BAG WITH YOU! Please ley them keep corresponding off-screen, er, off-panel, er, whatever, I’m bloody tired, big party in New York.

I just wanted to say how fantastic this comic is. I’m glad I didn’t overlook it, like I was about to when I first saw its banner on top ten web comics.

the only one I kinda feel bad for now is dan. I mean, even if there are other ways, it would be orion who isn’t around to be written to. one less intelligent person to talk to for him. (jk)

Won’t happen though, ’cause most readers can’t be bothered to vote. Unless…Scott makes this last letter the vote incentive tommorow (and, just as important, finds a way to ensure everyone _knows_ it…)
So So So true, if that last letter was to be put as an incentive, coupled with N°1000 page… tadaaaa! Hey Scott, you should really think about it, it could prove to be a big push, considering how successful the incentives seem to be on your site (It seems to me that giving only occasionnal incentives at key moments to tease readers is far more effective than really regular incentives, so for the 1000th page it would be the ideal moment!)
Otherwise, that page is just great (Nicole has Finally completely abandoned her nerve-racking realism, hoooraaayyy). Out of curiosity, which one of the two brothers loves ice hockey so much

Just wanted to say I often forget to vote (don’t shoot!) – having the link there did remind me to vote even if I’d missed the letter, so maybe it’s not just about the incentives
You… forget… to vote? *lifts a huge shotgun* this ain’t a democracy, lady! This is a Scottocracy! Here, there’s only one principle: one man, one vote. Scott’s the man, so he gets the vote! And abstention, citizens, is not an option. MWAHAHAHAHAAA!
Choosing not to vote is indeed making a choice. A choice to DIE! *ahem* Ok, sorry. *phew* I’m good now.
Actually, those who use more than one different IPL (?) address can vote once per address…a minor glitch in the easy system.
It’s “IP address” (short for “Internet Protocol”)
And for the non-techies in the group, this means that if you have a computer at home and a computer at work, you can vote once from each. Then, if you have a laptop and visit someplace with a WiFi hotspot (like, say, Whataburger or McDonalds), you can vote again from there.
(If you are a techie, and have remote access to lots of customers’ servers, you could, in theory, vote once from each server and log LOTS of votes per day … but that wouldn’t be very ethical, now would it …
)
Oh, and before anyone asks, despite the fact that I could cheat in the manner described above, I do not do so … I log one vote per day.
On a more serious note *adopts a politically correct face*, incentives are still a non-negligible boost for voting. it’s already good voting for a noble cause, but it’s even better if there’s something for you in it (I can almost hear Nastajia reproachfully muttering “humans are so materialistic!”)
Hit the vote button on here- then stick it in your favorites bar. That way, it reminds you as you cycle through your favorites everyday to vote.
That would work if I used a favourites bar…but I just memorise the links, and it might take me a while to learn that one…

I have to agree with elf_friend, here. I don’t vote unless I see a link to the voting site. When I see the link, I vote. I love the comic, but am too lazy and/or forgetful to go of my own initiative to the top webcomics site, find your comic, and vote for it (or however that process goes without a link).
I think that if you had that little TWC link as a permanent fixture on the side or right below the comic, you would get a LOT more votes. You would at least get a lot more votes from me.
Considering it’s in 2nd place right now, that puts it right at the top of the page. Not exactly hard to find, atm. As you yourself admitted, laziness is a big factor.
But, clearly you have a way to access this comic- probably via your favorites bar. So, just add the voting to your favorites bar. You remember to check the comic that way- why not do the same with voting, right? I’m not going to lie- I would forget if I didn’t have it in my favorites bar.

Nicole is really starting to grow on me. I DO hope she’ll start dreaming again, or letsherself dream again (’cause I believe that ’s the key..) Her last letter? Sounds a bit defeatist..
I am still of the mind that somehow, when the battle comes, Dan and Nic will join Alex in Dreamland. Why should he be the only one having dreams! Blow the horn for the final charge!!

Today’s page is wondeful! It’s been such fun watching Nicole come to grips with a reality outside her own and realizing that her childhood/dream friend is real!

I have an idea for an event to celebrate. How about a “thank you for reading” page where you write up a list of every readers names who comments? Even if it is just our screen names, it would still be cool to see it up there. Kinda make us feel more close to the comic. I dont know. Maybe a dumb idea

Or, you can take the voting button (which I think is up there today, and if not check yesterday’s page), then add it into your favorites bar once you get to the voting page. It doesn’t matter that the picture changes each time- it’s still the same voting link, regardless. So, save it in your favorites bar and then as you cycle through your favorites links (cause I’m sure that’s probably how you remember to access this page), then you remember to vote. This is what I do so that I always remember to vote.

Actually, Alex’s armor can probably already stop bullets. He’s still missing a few superhero elements, though: x-ray vision, heat vision, hyper-speed, and – most importantly – a snazzy red cape.
