i don’t know why, but i find her use of the term ‘scum’ out of character…i would replace this with bullies or criminals or some such, or just take that out.

Scott – who is the Pirate captain facing in panel 1? Certainly not Nastajia, who he was previously talking too, she is visible in the panel.
And as both Nas and Alex are now to his right, why has he turned to his left?
(Maybe he is breaking the 4th wall? If so he needs to improve his aim, because he is more kind of breaking the 3½th wall… )

I like the idea of “scoundrels” in that sentence! It does sound a little more regal (after all, they’re pointing out the KING), but it’s the same amount of dirty as “scum” in my opinion. =)
