I think this would be a good time for Alex to wake up and warn Daniel and Nicole ASAP. Definitely got to be one of the first things he tells them – let’s see if Daniel connects that with his sword lighting up…

If you want to combine technology with magic, one simple way would be to hang a photocell on the sword connected to an alarm. That way, the next time it starts glowing, they’d get a warning even if they weren’t looking at the sword at the time…

I bet there’s an app for that.

I don’t think Niviene will turn out to be a bad guy. I hope not. She gave up everything she loved for the benefit of Dreamland. I think she loves Dreamland most of all and would sacrifice anything to keep it safe.

It is a total suprise to me that NR creatures were trapped on Earth. I didn’t even think of that. So I kinda think the Pharoah’s expression and “Of course” are a bit arrogant. Alex hasn’t lived the history that the Pharoah has; we wouldn’t leap to his natural assumptions. I don’t see this as an Alex “dumb” moment. He’s moving past those.

To whom it may concern, I’ve just learnt that the Old English word for “nightmare” was somehow connected with Elves. Yikes.

Let’s see. 3000 years ago Scott’s Elves get trapped in Wakeland. As time passes, German tribes start to tell tales of Elves the demigods, light ones and dark ones. Further on, those Elves of legend gradually become evil demigods, their light counterparts forgotten. Then, early in XX century, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien uses the name for a human-like race, True to the Light Side, speaking his pet invented language(s). Everybody promptly forgets the old legends (save for the pointed ears) and since middle XX century Elves are modelled after JRRT’s ones (save for the pointed ears.) S. C. Sava, following the trend, creates good-natured human-like Elves that got captured, together with some pretty nasty guys, in Wakeland 3000 years ago, thus causing the legends about Dark and Light Elves to circulate among early German tribes…

Man, me head am gonna ‘xplode.
