Scott doesn’t use wikipedia because he knows everything. Why should be bother looking up stuff he already has knowledge of?

In answer to 3, you are allowed to create and edit the article, but it’s often frowned upon. It’s akin to someone posted an article about themselves. If something really is notable, other people that don’t have a direct interest in it will eventually post content, which is much preferred. Of course, if there’s an article about yourself or your work that has incorrect information, please, fix it.

Here’s my best advice: Read the Wiki article on relavance/notability relating to webcomics. I was part of the discussion that ended in The Noob to be permanently deleted and blocked from recreation. Being published apparently doesn’t make you notable enough. If I remember, you had to also be mentioned by several “credible and notable” sources in publishing. The rules are really vague, and the people who are crusading against webcomics know how to twist them to their advantage. You need to know the rules, be able to quote why Dreamland meets them, and be ready for a fight. But like the others said, make sure you aren’t the one doing to fighting.

Wikipedia is nice, but something like this should have it’s own wiki, it would allow you to list all the locations in dreamland, all the characters and biographies for them all, i doubt wikipedia would give you all that, the only way to beat wikipedia’s relevence policy is to have everyone make their own, then someone else make a wiki of all the personal wikis out there on the web. You should look into setting that up.

To answer some questions…and ask a few more…

1) There is a Dreamland Chronicles Comixpedia article. I did that last year as well.
2) Should Dreamland be under Book? Instead of or in addition to webcomic as suggested?
3)Am I simply not allowed to edit this because it’s mine?

Hmmm… how ironic. I just read Lem’s rant over on “Bunny” about the whole Wikipedia vs webcomics. It seems a bit silly to me, I would think for an encyclopedia the more information and entries the better.
