I actually think Dan is a little too agitated a bit there. I agree with the sentiment, but Dan of all people should no that Alex would not have the understanding, tact, or life events to comprehend that and it would show in how severe he reacted to Alex saying that.
Well, after that training montage, I would have given him the benefit of the doubt– hoping he had done some growing up on the way. Eh. Maybe a little too much to expect so soon.
I think Dan is feeling a bit more romantically protective of Nicole, which is why he rushed to protect her.

I like how upset Dan gets. That’s what a guy looks like when his brother’s just hurt the feelings of the girl he likes. Not that Dan’s admitted it yet, but that’s sure what it looks like to me!
Whoa, that dark background behind Dan in the first panel and the highlight on his face REALLY pops out his agitation. I got a small jolt of glee when I saw how well the darkness seemed to resonate with his sudden anger.
And yes, I think that anger was completely justified.
The ” You’re awful” stare from both of them is a classic

Always, Thessa. It’s one of his defining characteristics. Look back at any number of panels he’s in. I’m just still trying to decide if it’s supposed to be a clue to something we’ll find out about later on.

Once again Alex’s naiveness gets the better of him.
It’s good to see that Alex isn’t perfect; besides, he has two more books to go through, more time to mature. He definetely needs to learn “smile and nod,” it saved me from a chewing out countless times.
I don’t mind a break (too too much) and I know you guys are busy. Think we can get a sneak peak of the behind-the-scenes pages at the end of Book 4 while we wait for the next chapter?
Im with alex. Not everything in life makes sence thats the point I think he’s makeing. You just deal with it and move on.

Alex really deserved that one! This isn’t just any look, this is a Look! First panel, Dan’s eyes reflect yellow. that and the hair horns, cleary sends the message “you overstep your bounds, underling. Though shall burn in hell for saying naughty things to my prey !”

Apart from that, fun page. As to trivia, I may have to see about that when I’m more awake.
In addition to the trivia help, I would like to point out that since the incentives ceased, the voting dropped from like 800+ votes a day to less than 200 votes a day, by the looks of things. This is kind of ridiculous. Here’s the link- save it in your favorites and then hit it along with this comic every day. Not hard to do. Takes like 10 seconds of your day, and that’s if your connection is slow like Charter “High Speed” cable (which is more like DSL in how it operates than it is high speed compared to other cable networks I’ve used in the past).

You know, I kinda found this page a lot funnier when I thought Nicole was looking sullen and only Daniel was giving the glare rather than both him and Nicole. But maybe that’s just me. ^-^
What? Whaaaaat! I’ve caught up with the present comic? I’ve plowed through the entire archive in just two days? And now I have to wait a day or more for each new comic? Damn
