It’s interesting that Arthur is (seemingly) driven at this point to continue his plot (if it’s done in secret, it probably counts as a plot), rather than realising that this kind of guy is exactly the kind Nicodemus doesn’t want in Dreamland.

I can’t express how pleased I’ve been with Dreamland lately. I mean, I’ve always liked it but this last hundred or so pages have been wonderful. Guess that thousand page warm-up was just right, eh?
