Tomorrow…back to Dreamland.
We have books on Wowio for Free…
The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men…
Holy wraith! Those guys shure have some wicked powers man! OK, suspected “something” when I started reading this page, however, ’tis not a wraith what I had in mind. I mean, wow! They can walk among us (barely). Makes me see them, their interests and their relation to Dreamland from a whole new perspective. Nice!
What JMV said *blinks and nods*
“would never think”… with the wraith present, that’s now the wrong tense (not that arthur knows that yet). correct: “would never have thought”. 😉
while I really don’t like the wraiths and their scheming, arthur’s plan to go behind nic’s back is even more a betrayal than it had been before, when he talked to nic about it. he kinda really has it coming, the stubborn king. XD
I’m curious about the wraiths. they’re from the nightmare realm, right? have they always been that evil? because with nic being from there too and not being evil yet, “nightmare realm” doesn’t have to mean that it only houses villains. is there a reason for their malicious actions or is the answer “they just do it. no greater plans involved”?
Technically, though many of us have speculated that Nicodemus is probably from the Nightmare Realm, I don’t think Scott has ever officially confirmed that.
(Don’t forget to VOTE, everyone!)
The closest clue so far has been the color he bleeds, which matches others from that Realm.
Well, it’s not like we’ve seen Paddington, Nastajia, or any Dreamlanders bleed. Green blood could be the norm in Dreamlands and Nightmare Realm.
Arthur, didn’t anyone ever tell you the expression “The walls have ears”..and glowing eyes and spider pendants and….
This does remind me of a couple of times I’ve busted my boys planning mischief because they didn’t know I was around and listening.
Arthur and Merlin – you 2 are sooooooo busted. It’s off to the naughty corner for you 2
Arthur: “I believe I know of such a place…a place where Nicodemus would not think to look.”
Merlin: “You mean…”
Arthur: “Yes. Castle Anthrax.”
ooooh, naughty Zoot!
Time for a spanking!
Merlin and spanking. Not a pleasant vision.
The plot of this story is amazing!
So much depth, so much intrigue and drama in the correct quantities!
The plot of Arthur is evil if you are a Dreamlander so I think that the Wraiths are acting to protect their homeland.
Imagine the actions of Arthur if Nic what planning to bring Nightmare creatures to the wake world in order “to show them how peaceful is Camelot etc etc”.
I wouldn’t say Arthur’s plot is evil to Dreamlanders–perhaps not well thought through or misguided, but not evil.
but yeah, i agree with you about the plot :^D
Ditto what JMV said above. We saw it first on pg 1115, and now have it confirmed here. All this time Scott has had us readers believe the king’s sword is the only thing that could cross worlds (with the exception of the shaman bag and perhaps the pendant that Arthur is fingering in this scene), and now we discover the dragon clan has something similar to the sword, allowing them to cross worlds – or at least astrally project themselves into the human realm, anyway! No wonder they know more than they let on! Makes you wonder what *else* they’re hiding, eh?
Merlin and the Wraiths are cooking something up…
Could the spider clasp/pendant these wraith all seem to wear be what allows them access to the human world? It appears as completely visible, while the wraith is transparent.
I wonder if Nic knows; he didn’t ask how they intended to find out more about Arthur’s plans. But I would have thought that during his time as king he would have used one himself. Of course he doesn’t like humans, but maybe he could if he wanted to.
It would be nice if we could chose female or male gravatars.

Or you can use any image of your choice.
is it just me, or is anybody else concerned of the fact that the wraiths are traveling between worlds!
but it does leave hope for one thing…Nastajia may be able to visit earth!
Hey yeah if it means Tasj can go to Earth it’s definitely worth it!
Could be lots of reasons how they can travel between worlds. Astral Projection as Xeiran said or they know of some kind of nexus type spot or found a place where the veil between both worlds is thin enough to ghost through. Or maybe they found a magical gourd to travel between worlds. 🙂
Maybe they come in through the closet?
I’m guessing that the Wraith may be a large part of why it’s dangerous for Nick to know of Dan.
I love that you are all enjoying the story with all its twists and turns.
Thank you all SO much.
My apologies for not being able to respond too much. Some big things happening here.
Thanks for your patience.
No worries. It’s very suspensful and exciting right now!
And just a few pages back you were lamenting the lack of anything significant or interesting happening… 🙂
So… for all of you that have now swung completely over to the “Arthur is evil, and Nic & the Wraiths are simply nobly protecting Dreamland” mindset…
Can you explain to me why Arthur pursuing (and not even succeeding yet!) allowing other humans to see how Dreamland works due to fears that they might be a negative influence is evidence of either evil, selfishness, greed, or – at the very least – shortsightedness – but the fact that Dreamlanders cross the other direction to actually function as spies is met with no concern at all?
I’m confused by the apparent double standard…
Beats me. Aurthur’s position in the last two comics is hardly new nor does it change Nicodemus’ whiplash/lip service loyalties. It just makes me even more suspicious of the nightmare realm and just why they would “rebel” and what they can do that Nicodemus knew about and yet Arthur doesn’t.
It’s also a set up for the sword ending up in the tomb I suspect. 😉
I suspect that “the place” is the Tomb where the boy Alex found The Sword and where he had his first encounter with the “evil” Dragon.
So maybe The Sword is “evil” for Nic because it is the mean for the humans to travel between the two worlds.
An maybe Arthur is no longer the king of Dreamland because he lost his Sword.
Anyway I’m very excited with the plot.
I wonder how Scott is planning this story….
Behind peoples backs NEVER works out. ALWAYS bad.
Seriously. You’d think Merlin at least would know better. I mean, look at his own life history and how he’s learned from pulling similar disastrous sneakiness.
Remember, Big Brother is always watching *cue dramatic music*. It never crossed my mind until I read Torechwen comment of how vital is the knowledge of Dan’s existence. Now since the cat’s out of the bag, I believe that they would have to act as if spies were watching them in the real world, if they weren’t already!
