There's usually one troll in any given bunch of readers, being a jerk just to get a rise out of the other readers. Sounds like Lax is our troll. Yep, he had a lot of chutzpah, but then look at his moniker. Lax? It doesn't sound like a person who should be pointing fingers.

Quantity might rule over quality in the mass market, but anyone with class would opt for quality over quantity given the option. I've been constantly amazed how this web novel has updated religiously 5 days a week for so many years. Maybe there are others out there doing the same, but I don't know of any others. Keep up the good work, Scott, regardless of the time it takes.

I'm enjoying the story as always, but something did occur to me: I've always understood the word "bloody" to be a profanity in British English. As I'm American I could be wrong, but that was my understanding. So I guess I have two questions:

1) Is my understanding of the usage of "bloody" correct?
2) And, if it is, do you feel there is a need to change the wording, Scott?

It personally doesn't offend me, but I just wondered if it would offend others, and I know you're very careful about keeping things family-friendly and not offending people.

The original Arthur was Welsh or Briton--so Scot would be a reasonable facsimile, as would a Breton also. Arthur might also have kept a lot of Roman influence, but that's harder to find a suitable accent. So few people speak Latin regularly nowadays. A Breton speaker again, for the French influence? Galatia in NW Spain??

On the other hand, by moving Camelot to the 1300s, perhaps Arthur is English. So, really, Scott can do what he wants, and explain it away by a suitable positioning of Camelot...
