Hi all…
Sorry about yesterday (we got hacked…again).
As I mentioned…we’ll be at MWF for a bit. Just until I can get a buffer again.
Thanks all for reading. And hope you’re enjoying.
Scott

Am I seeing the time right? 8:05 PM? Since when did 2 college roomates go to sleep at that time?
Also, just a nitpick, but when you set down a chain, it doesn’t form a series of straight lines with sharp bends.
I think it is 8:05 AM since they mentioned breakfast. Also: if he dragged the chain in two directions, he could have gotten it to lay in that manner.
And I’d say they are getting up. Since Alex just woke, and then he woke up Dan.
It looks like it has 4 hands, saying that it is 9:40 and 5 seconds AM and the alarm is set for 9:20.
You got hacked again!?
[Insert extremely colorful commentary about the blankety-blanks responsible here]
Okay, I have a challenge for everyone here for at least the rest of the week. Every time you find yourself sitting at a different computer, or with your laptop connected to a different hotspot, go to TWC and VOTE again. Let’s see if we can show Scott our support by getting him in the top 5!
(And being patient with the update schedule, and buying stuff if we can, of course … )
I voted twice today!
I just wanted to say that I really love Dreamland and I don’t mind a MWF update schedule at all! It’s such an intriguing story. I also just introduced it to my pseudo-9-year-old brother and he is absolutely loving Dreamland. In his first go reading it online he got to page 93! He’s pretty picky about what he reads, but he loves comics, and he finds yours pretty awesome.
Agh, must clarify. “pseudo-9-year-old brother” really means that he’s like my brother, but not biologically speaking. Not that he pretends to be 9 and is actually my brother, haha.
So, he would actually be your 9-year-old pseudo-brother.
Hey, I just noticed something: your avatar is (currently) a Griffin. We haven’t seen one of those since the first chapter. I wonder if they could be the Guardians?
(Scott, feel free to delete this if it turns out to be a spoiler; feel free to ignore it if it’s not or if you want to misdirect us … )
is anyone else having the sense of dread for leaving the necklace on the nightstand…..
I’m kinda worried that the nightmare demons might steal the necklace… but that would put a major kink in the story… so I doubt it will happen.
Another thought I had — what would happen if Dan put on the necklace sword??
Come to think of it, if Arthur is now gone, then – assuming their father and grandfather aren’t alive – shouldn’t this mean that it would be possible for Dan to get into Dreamland, at least with the sword?
The wraths could steal the sword and take it back to dreamland. Then Alex’s little cousin could steal it back.
well…
if he isn’t seeing what we see(that leaving the necklage in his room isn’t a good idea) then it’s ok…
but I guess he isn’t…
I am! It’s not the smartest place in the world to leave a trans-dimentional sword.
Well you know, I’ve always considered Alex a super-genius. This is obviously another brilliant decision, especially IMMEDIATELY after hearing a story about wraith-assassins walking the waking plane. XD
Absolutely! I find myself wondering … can the wraiths interact with physical objects in the waking world?
Were they going to try to stab Merlin? If so, then it is possible for them to interact with the physical. But wraiths (in the traditional sense) are incorporeal and can’t interact with solid objects.
However, I have no doubt they are skilled at interjecting ideas into the heads of people by subtle suggestion.
No matter how you look at it, I get the sense of dread, at Alex and the sword not being together. Look what happened when Arthur wanted to be separated from the sword…
This doth not bode well, me thinks.
I got the same sense of foreboding, but then I remembered what happened when Nic took the sword. He couldn’t hold it or keep it because it was Alex’s.
What I wonder is if that rule only holds for creatures from the Dreamworld side of life, or if it only holds for creatures when ON the Dreamworld side of life. If the first is true, Alex only needs to worry about humans taking the necklace. If the second is true, the wraiths truly do pose a threat to the necklace.
Well the only reason nic couldn’t keep it was that Alex woke up and the sword went with him.
Everyone needs to remember this is Alex we are talking about! while he is getting better, he still has a lot to learn! while he believes in dreamland, i don’t think he fully realized the wraiths traveled to our world
I’m not too concerned. Dan has enough on his plate right now, story wise. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he got separated from the sword involuntarily later in the story.
Specifically, Chapter 19.
Suddenly a necklace with a tiny sword on a night table seems much more significant than when it was stashed in a shoe box. Let’s post a poll: who will grab the necklace next:
1) Alex
2) Dan
3) Wraights
Me. I am on the way… Hope I come before the Wraiths or the cleaning staff.
Great sory as usual! And Hell to the Hackers that attack such a site – no challenge. Go attack FBI or Pentagon (and begin to enjoy intensely everytime somebody knocks at your door).
Ha Ha! “It’s recording every thing I do!” pause, takes it off. Classic. I hope no wraiths come and snatch it away, although I wonder if that is even possible…
Alex: “It’s recording everything I do.”
CIA: “Crud. He’s on to us.”
Sword necklaces are the next logical step after predator drones.
Small oddity… the Next Chapter button seems active on these last pages, and sends me to chapter 2… huh?
Hm. That IS weird. Thanks. I’ll check it out.
It’s been happening so long to me I thought that was supposed to happen…
It looks like many of the chapters are out of order, actually. Pushing the next chapter button on the first page of chapter 1 takes you to chapter 10, for example.
That sounds like it’s doing alphabetical, rather than numerical, ordering.
Can’t wait for the next page! Maybe Nicole will have a deluge of questions regarding Felicity!;)
Hackers are extremely lame. Lame like the kid spray painting an alley because they think it makes them unique. Well wake up and grow up, it takes zero talent to be a deviant, if you want to impress people make something special like this comic. Otherwise you are just wasting your own life and the time of other people, sucking in air that could be used for better things.
you sound very angry & old :S
It is frustrating to think about the hackers. Each day, we read abut how busy Scott is and it’s painful to imagine someone making more work for him for no good reason.
Well, like the saying goes, we can’t change the way people behave, but we can choose the way we deal with it. Take comfort in the knowledge that the fans will always outnumber the haters.
BTW, love the sunlight filtering through (blinds?). It looks great!
Glad to see you’re back up! Nice old school clock too. XD
how come everyone gets up so early!!!!!!!!!!
probably because they are on an earlier time zone
at least HIDE the thing, Alex!
Why is it, because he set the sword necklace down, I feel that it’s going to get stollen by the time they return? Or am I just a ‘worst case scenario’ person?
My take is that by the laws of drama, there’s no reason for him to write in Alex leaving the necklace there unless it WILL be stolen. Therefore it’s a foregone conclusion!
My prediction? I’m thinking that the lizard people are going to appear and try to take the necklace, though to what extent they’ll succeed is the question. I know it will be lost for a while, but could they take it back to Dreamland with them?
I’m getting worried. He can’t enter Dreamland without the sword.
Maybe. We don’t know. The rules we knew were the ones that were in place before the death of Arthur. He’s gone now, it’s entirely possible that everything we think we know about getting into Dreamland is now obsolete.

Alex slept without the sword before and had no dreams whatsoever.
Good job there. Leaving the sword where a Shade can grab it.
im thinking with it being an intelligent speaking sword i think it will know who has it and it will end up not being in thier possesion and back to where it was left, unless it sense no threat from who took it and it wants to see what would happen
That’s what seems most logical to me…unless in necklace form it has less capabilities.
Hmm…
What time is it there? The clock in the next-to-bottom panel says about 4:05; the clock in the last panel seems to be missing its hour hand.
Since they’re leaving for breakfast, I guess that means the sunlight is streaming in at 4:05AM, which is a reasonable time for that effect (and for breakfast) if the story takes place during summer in the more northern / southern latitudes.
I’m just sayin’….
That´s got to be the dumbest hero I ever read about.
As others already mentioned, yeah, let´s leave the one thing lying around unguarded and in the open that big flappy dragony “dude” wants . Just after hearing about them nightmare thingies attacking that Merling or something geezer. Like, what´s could go wrong?
Creepy swordy listening in on me all the time is so like eeeehw. Like, gota text somebody about that.
Can we have maybe a BIG sign or two pointing at it?
/facepalm
I think I´m starting to root for the Dragon.
ok ether i am going Crazy or….the Sword in swinging in the 3rd panel >.<
Well here’s to being a bit too nit-picky. Alex pulls the necklace off over his head, the necklace is laying down on the table unclasped.
Also, unless that’s the sword near the clock on panel #4, the time jumps from around 12:20pm to 8:05am.
Other than that. I wonder if they will try an experiment with the necklace and see what happens when Dan put’s it on :p
I hope so. He needs to see dreamland.
Jeez, Alex…put it under your pillow or something. Lordy!
Okay, if these Nightmare Realm creatures can pass through the Waking World and Dreamland and they can touch and hold solid objects, does that mean they can take a human back to Dreamland with them? Cuz–for some weird reason–I’m thinking that it’s not the sword that’s going to be stolen, but Dan.
Urk. Dont leave it lying out. …Wow! is Dan gonna be shocked at these twist of events!
