It absolutely does (or should). How else would we have known Arthur’s conversations with Merlin and the altercation between Arthur’s party and the hooligans that prompted Arthur to craft the amulet? The sword recorded all of it.

With the way those two are looking at the necklace, it would have been completely hilarious if the sword just said “Yes.” I could see them both jumping so high in complete surprise.
