Just looked back through the whole scene here. Something about her eyes in that 3rd panel… then it hit me, who was imprisoned for how long in dreamland and turned out to be a reluctant spy… Nichole was her human during the childhood years… Potentially dark turn indeed… I would have figured if it was a genuine interaction between the two she would have caught him during the day, not while Alex was vulnerable… Poor Dan if my gut is correct.
