Being a jerk to the other adults on the site just makes you an ordinary internet troll. Being a jerk to a 12-year-old? That deserves someone pointing out how much of a jerk you are being.

1. So a 12-year-old wasn’t familiar with “Cowboys and Aliens” (whatever that might be). So what!? I’ve never heard of it either.

2. 12 years old is NOT “under the age of 12″. I bet all of Dreamland’s young readers could have managed that math. Not that it matters, because in the Gravatar TOS – here’s the link – there is no such age limit; in fact, the number “12″ does not appear on that page at all. So I guess you’re just trying to scare a child for the sole purpose of being a cad?

Welcome, fellow Dreamer! There are actually a number of children of various ages that read this comic, starting with Scott’s own sons (they’re about 8 now, aren’t they, Scott?). I’m sure Sophia (age 12 or 13, can’t remember exactly – sorry Sophia!) is around here somewhere too. A few of us try to remind each other that there are kids present, so comments should (mostly) remain pretty kid-friendly. Pay no attention to the trolls!

2.
