I disagree. If he were to have a relationship with someone in the “real” world (a defunct phrase considering Dreamworld is also “real”), he would have the same problem. Even if he didn’t visit Dreamworld in his sleep. You spend several hours of every day unconscious, away from your friends/family/loved-ones. The fact that he wasn’t born in the same world as her doesn’t change his ability to have a romantic relationship with her.

At worst, their time is periodically interrupted by his Earth obligations (spontaneously waking up at inopportune moments), and/or they are biologically incapable of having kids. There are thousands of people on Earth with these same problems.

tl;dr It’s no different than if he were an infertile narcoleptic in our world. With a little effort they’ll make it work same as any other relationship.

GAH… Just spent the last 9 hours reading this story start to finish. SO eager for the next page. This story and this world are both SO amazing. I’m normally not a fan of CG drawings outside animation, but the effort put into this, the characters and details. The first time I noticed the reflections in Alex’s armor I just about had a fit from excitement. This is a truly amazing comic and I cannot WAIT to read more.
