This lack of reference to the father so far seems somewhat cryptic. I wonder if the father is going to reveal some information he learned in Dreamlands as a kid to Dan and Alex just before their final fight near the end of the series (assuming there is one).

Sorry, I’m not sure how to link here, but if you copy and paste that, you should see her stating that Alex and her brother played Pee Wee Hockey together. Couple that with the fact that it seems that Alex and Dan know her well enough that Dan should have known how many guys she had kissed, and it seems that there is a decent chance that they spent a decent amount of time in the same neighborhood.

You really don’t understand the mentality of most guys in a dorm (though that is quite possibly a good thing). Many guys will, shall we say, “Go Green” in that, and others will actually have such a stockpile (though they will still “Go Green” with the rest of their wardrobe, which will not be as vast).

I also didn’t take what Half Moon meant as being a result of them needing their mommy to do it, specifically. Rather, I took it as meaning that, as boys, they are more likely to say, “Eh, looks clean to me, smells (somewhat) clean to me, it can be worn” and generally procrastinate about laundry as long as possible (like they do with many things cleaning related).

Half Moon, in this day and age, that’s no excuse. Real men don’t need mommy to keep their clothes clean.

Yes, but you have to pay for those, normally. At home, though, you can do laundry for free, so many guys in college will put off doing laundry if they are within 3-4 weeks of going home, if at all possible, in order to save a few bucks.
