Page 1533…
Happy Monday!
Logan and Brendan (my 9 year old twin boys) wanted to enter the Lego Lord of the Rings contest.
So, Logan, mostly, built the Battle of Gondor with his spare lego parts.
I couldn’t figure out ONE image that caught all he wanted to show.
So, we did a comic.
If you have a moment. Click the link and give it a “Like” if you have a Lego account.
It doesn’t really make a difference (I don’t think) in the judging. But they’re so excited when someone else clicks like…I thought I’d ask.
Also…
Just a reminder…
I have prints available for my Art Nouveau paintings.
Scott

That mini-comic is pretty cool. I don’t think I ever got that creative with my LEGOs. My college roommate, though, built a Marvin the Paranoid Android (From Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) out of Bionicle parts.
Amont? Hmmm… Gotta be a verb…
Fixed.
Thanks
Hmmm… something is… off with the lighting on this page…
I’m fairly sure that ‘amont’ in panel two is supposed to be ‘among’.
Agreed… Typo, Scott?
Fixed.
Thanks.
That lady has one messed up jawline in the 4th panel.
Fixed.
Thanks!
First, in previous pages the lot of them – particularly Nastajia – was way over the top in declaring this treatment of Felicity to be such a horrible “evil you’ve unleashed”. I’d think the royal family would take offense at that.
Second, I realized a possible solution for Alex and Daniel:
The Seraphopoleans developed the means to physically travel between our world and Dreamworld. Therefore, they may be able to allow Alex to PHYSICALLY migrate to Dreamworld and live there permanently with Nastajia… as in full-time. And Alex could then pass on the Sword to Daniel because he wouldn’t need it anymore to visit Nastajia. And as long as Daniel as the Sword of Kings – the status symbol of the King of Dreamland – he would not need Excalibur. So he could let Alex “borrow it” while questing to protect Dreamland (from the Nightmare realm). And as King, Daniel could bestow a title to Alex, such as “Grand Knight” or the head of his Royal Guard or something, giving Alex some status.
I think given Felicity’s reaction (woohoo, worship me), he probably understands what Nastajia meant. Plus, there was the off screen bit where the king would have approached the group just after arrival, said something like “your race has religious significance in our culture, would you mind if we carried you to the temple?” to Felicity, at which point most of her friends would have face-palmed. I agree that ‘evil’ may not have been the best word for it, but I think the Seraphopolians know what she intended. Remember, their own queen referred to this as ‘barbaric.’
I still think these folks, Felicity or both are headed for a wake-up-call moment in the not-too-distant future.
At last we learn of Felicity’s race!
Will there be others of her kind that Alex has yet to meet?
Fingers crossed for a twin sister.
Well, here’s the TWC news update everyone was waiting for. (Promptly ducks just in case.)

Uh oh. The second place was right within our reach, but they seem to have noticed this as well.
Keep voting, friends!
BTW…thank you for always reminding me to vote!
You’re most welcome!
Nice work on your kids did on Gondor. Good to see kids still using legos with an imagination and not just building what is on the box.
The Pharaoh and his Queen seem calm with this.
I’m a bit more concerned about whether Paddington is going to be able to enter the Temple they’re all heading towards. I look at what we can see of the door, and then at his girth, and I’m thinking “Square door, round Paddington, may not work”.
Why, if I may be so bold, do they look like chocolate wax? They’ve very shiny while the others look .. not so much.
Gondor is fantastic. Back in “the day”, when we were lucky to have red bricks among the green ones, you needed a lot more imagination to make things. And people were right out.
Also, I like the range of complexion and shapes among the sky people…
I am pretty in love with the riders of gondor on the second page of our youngins’ comic… particularly the fellow on the ostrich.
