This is still the same trip to Dreamland in which Niviene laid her “Resign as King and let your brother assume his rightful place!” guilt trip on Alex. So when Alex wakes up, he’s not only going to have a LOT to tell Dan about history, floating cities, and the Nightmare Realm, he’s going to have a moral dilemma to ponder. Hopefully he’ll tell Dan about that, too, and the brothers will reach a decision and present a united front towards a certain pushy mermaid.
