1) Their surprise attack is no longer a surprise as the wraiths are watching.
2) Whilst Dan may be the rightful king of Dreamland, he would make a good king in peace time. Right now, Alex is probably the king Dreamland needs. It’s odd, in fixing things to deny the rightful king, Nicodemus and the wraiths created a situation where someone who was better in a fight took the throne.
