However, I think any wraiths that might be about will grab Nicole as a hostage, since Nivienne will defend Daniel from them.

Then the question becomes, “Will Daniel want to play hero and go rescue his ‘damsel-in-distress’ or will he realize he is neither prepared nor physically apt enough to do the job and have his brother do the heavy lifting while he plans and advises?”
