I think Scott has said something about this in a comment before. I can’t remember for sure…and I certainly have no clue where to find it (though I’d imagine the best place to start looking would be after the king of Seraphopolis tells them of the portal…maybe even as recent as the page where we see Nastajia’s parents in our world…I dunno ).

I think the Nightmare Realm is affecting her as well. Yeah it messes with human but I am sure the people in Dreamland get freaked out by it as well.

Also this is the first time he basically says I can’t do it, let me get my brother the “True King”. I bet this conversation has been on her mind for a while and even though this is terrible timing, this is when/where this conversation is going to happen.

I’m a little concerned abut Nastajia’s timing on this. It would have made a lot more sense to have had this discussion before they flew off to the Nightmare Realm. It’s not like her, but then she has been pretty upset after she learned about the last time her parent’s were seen. Of course, the first time Alex manages to wake up and get back to Dan and Nicole, the whole situation will change.

Personally, I think that Alex should remain King, over Dan. Yeah, Danny-Boy’s really smart, but Alex is smarter than he thinks he is. He’s just so used to being in the intellectual shadow of Dan that he tends to think of himself as stupid. He’s also charismatic, which is an EXCELLENT quality for a ruler. Dan would be perfect as Chief Advisor to his brother, fulfilling Merlyn’s role, though without the mastery of magic. I also think that Dan would prefer such a role, himself. Dan’s a bit too much of a thinker to make a EXCELLENT king; while having intelligance & wisdom are good qualities in a ruler, if you spend TOO MUCH time thinking planning, and intellectualizing matters, then nothing gets done! Alex is far better at decisive action, and modifying his plans to suit the moment, keeping things flexible so he can roll with events as they occur. At least, that’s how I see things here; YMMV.
Of course, they could all be trying to ‘push’ him in the direction of abdicating in favor of Dan to force him to dig in his heels and prove his TRUE worth as King of Dreamland!

You know. Interesting thought. What if they find the portal and walk through? We know what will happen to her. Just like her parents, she’ll come to Earth. But what about Alex? He is on Earth, asleep. Will he come to Earth in mind as well, and sorta be there twice? Or is that…um…NOT POSSIBLE…;) AKA BAD THINGS happen?
