I painted Phoenix…
Really looking forward to her reaction to the news about her parents. Beautiful comic, as usual.
Staj already knows that Alex wakes up from time to time. So asking about it in panel 2 is a bit odd imho.
Zhan, i dont think she asked this because he disappeared but, because his reaction on his face. Something different from before he was gone. 😉
Also to note, usually when he wakes up on his own.. he realizes it’s happening while still in Dreamland. This was a sudden instant disappearance, so she must know that something/someone woke him up.
Or the sudden disappearance while her back was turned meant she didn’t know for certain that he woke up. *shrugs* Who says the wraiths can’t ninja attack-and-grab someone? There are plenty of reasons she’d be worried about his sudden disappearance. I’m just glad she was smart enough to stay in the same place in case it was a sudden wake up.
And the suspense begins! I am VERY curious how she’ll react to this news.
I’m impressed – Alex is showing some tact.
At last Alex will Nastajia where her parents really are!
Pin and needles…I think that’s the best description for the anticipation that goes with this moment.
I don’t think that is Nastajia she looks menacing in the last panel
I agree. It’s the marvelous shading job on her face. I’m also with Zahn; she knows he wakes up.
Scott, that’s a wonderful Phoenix. I’d love to see one with the full ‘firebird effect’ behind her.
“It’s a trick….get an axe!”
Is it Nastajia saying “Thank God”? I’m curious now, about the religion(s) of Dreamland…
No. It’s Alex.
Nope. That can’t be Nastajia. This faker is not nearly scary enough.
Alex, the last thing you want to do is delay this conversation. Who knows when demons could pop out of nowhere? Then again, I guess you could still tell her in custody …. whatever. 😛
