So, this afternoon I received this amazing piece of art from my pal Lora Innes…
Lora’s work just keeps astounding me!
If you haven’t already… please check out The Dreamer NOW to see more…
Love the expressions in panel 1! 😀
Go get her, Alex!
“krak” – just the onomatopoeia i been a-waitin for. way cool, this one.
Atta boy Alex!
Seems like the website of the dreamer suddenly seems to have to deal with a lot more visitors than it is used to, getting a 503 error. Too bad, was at page 74 so far and enjoying the story!
Is Alex flying without wings or is that a … wait for it …. ‘monstrous’ leap towards his beloved?
Flying in Dreamland works on a “I believe I can Fly” principal. Alex doesn’t need wings, but fairy dust also helps in tight situations
Yes all children can fly, but if I recall, he couldn’t by himself anymore, up until this point apparently. e.g. Alex also had wings to fly to the nightmare realm..
He’s flown a few times. The first time was when mister Centaur threw him off a cliff and said how much he’d hate to have to tell a certain elf princess that Alexander was such a failure…for some reason, thinking of her makes him want to stay alive…;)
Oh okay, my bad can’t recall it
Orion got him flying, then put him through a training program that gave him flying skills and super strength. During the battle with Nic Alex used both, frequently. He’s also got a suit that makes him almost invulnerable. But instead of an “S” on his chest, he’s got dragon claw marks.
Well put. The only issue with flying that required the special wings had to do with entering and leaving the realm of the Guardians, because it was too high up for conventional flight. The Nightmare Realm is evidently not so high up and Alex can fly normally without the wings, so long as he isn’t afraid.
ha! Now makes sense now why I woke up to a notification that my site had been down for nearly an hour.
Glad you enjoyed the first chunk of the story!
I finished the entire story so far, can’t wait to see how it develops further, you’re in my rss feed!
Is it the love he has for Nastajia or is it insanity that causes Alex’s actions?
I love the,”huh?” expression on the nightmare creatures right before Alex bonks their heads together with his 2 right hands. I know perspective, perspective. But at first I saw pinkys instead of thumbs.
I knew it! I knew it! 😀
On the page before this one, he looks like “Oh, nooooh, Nastaija!” And then like “Okay, that has done it! Now I’m really angry”
I love it 😀
Woo, that’s good fan art!!!
Woo hoo! Go Alex!
Love Lora’s art piece there. Nastajia’s attitude/pose and Alex’s reaction to it are priceless. =)
Wow, I love that!!!!! Tell Laura I have been a fan for years!
Now you just told her yourself. Thanks!
I love Lora’s picture! And I love following her story “The Dreamer”, too.
Oh, and today’s page is superb too, as always! 😉
Super-strength, super-speed, and super-in-love.
Also loving the drawing from Lora Innes. I like to call it “Come and get it big boy!”
“Spread out, ya knuckleheads!”
Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
Maybe Alex is actually the real king. But I guess we won’t know till we get Dan in Dreamland.
Alex is the perfect king. Awesome when it matters, a doofus at all other times
Go Alex go! 😀
Also awesome fan art! I just came from The Dreamer site (my bookmarked comics are in alphabetical order), and this is just icing on my Friday comic cake.
So he put his sword down, took two of them out, had the time to pick it up and fly off? I guess he was fast considering he was being dog piled. 😛
Thanks for all the kind words on the piece I did for Scott! He’s the best, and I wanted to say thank you! This one was too much fun to draw. I love me some Dreamland!
It’s nice to see Nastijia bring on some sexah.
Thanks for the link to “The Dreamer.” I’m loving this comic. Another one to add to my subscriptions.
Overcoming fear for love.
Just re-rendering some frames. Will post Monday’s page in the morning.
