comics for October 13, 2006 – 10/13/2006
Oooh, we’ve got our quest, and a McGuffin too!
Why do they always say “Be safe” to the adventuring group that most certainly heads to danger?
The example they show there is from my favorite comic ever
Ozy and Millie are the best!
but the amulet serves a purpose-to find the tablets. so it isn’t a mcguffin.

You know, one of the other players in my gaming group gained the ability of “danger sense” for a character a few years back (similar to Spiderman’s “spider sense”). Invariably, when in a dungeon crawl, the direction in which he sensed the most danger was the direction we ended up going. Ever since it’s turned into a long-standing joke with us: “Danger ahead! Let’s go that way!”
I think the tablets themselves are the McGuffin, or at least the quest to find them is. It moves the plot, but doesn’t actually serve any purpose in the plot, perhaps. At least, to us it doesn’t seem to- for now. Scott might change that perception as he writes on.
I get the sinking feeling that Nicodemus not only arranged for her parents to disappear, but that he is well aware of what the Sword of Kings is and what it looks like…
Well, if they steal the amulet, i hope they leave paddington outside… he isn’t exactly what you would call stealhy
There’s a square in Budapest,Hungary called Astoria .
What does “uff” mean?
