And it’s not just anime. Other cartoons (Like Loony Toons) also used hammer space. Ever see a huge character hide behind a small tree? Same consent as hammer space. And I could have sworn I saw Tweety pull a hammer from his back that was four times the size of Sylvester in order to whack the poor cat in the head with it once.

Basically, hammer space is a place of infinite storage that you cant see…
