Apparently time works weirdly in Dreamland, so who knows, he could end up about 3 seconds from when he woke up, or an hour later.

Time freezes. He catches hold of a passing bird. Because he’s just returned to dreamland, he has minimal momentum. Swings off bird, to castle parapet, grabbing Felicity as he goes. Quickly runs down and out of castle. Problem solved.
