So, SotiCoto, maybe he’s not flapping his wings, just gliding for a few moments. He’s built up quite a bit of speed from diving 500 or so feet just now.

Why doesn’t Alex just turn around and slice off Nicodemus’s head?
Nic’s currently wearing the Indestructible Invisible Importance To Plot Armour(tm)
Alex: Suddenly stop and turn, sword outthrust. Let Nicodemus’s momentum carry him forward, plowing the sword into his chest.
…and probably get smashed against Nicodemus’s body while you’re at it, but let’s forget that for a second.
Felicity’s in the way
Because Noodle, Alex is brain dead.
and still carrying golden fashion accesory
Soti- how about Nicodemus is gliding in for the kill, as most flying animals do when close to the ground?

Mario? This scene reminds me more of Alexandria from Final Fantasy IX.

Fel’s profile in panel 1 is somewhat reminiscent of the blue-skinned Navi from Avatar. Maybe it’s just the ears…
