It’s amazing how so many caves and other rock formations have been weathered so that they look evil.
P.S. It looks pretty awesome, though.
Paddington looks cool as a mer…rock
I think it has to do with the underlying sub-strata
but it dose look cool
Gee that’s not at all ominous in any way :p
Kraken’s going to have a stomach-ache if he eats Whale-Paddy.
The Cave actually looks like Paddington’s long lost Uncle.
I’d say more of his great great great great great lost uncle.
Yep. It’s the eyes. Never go into a cave with eyeholes without being ready for monsters, ambushes, general disasters and mayhem.
Aaaand the mer-folk city is within easy swimming distance of the giant death squid….
…I LOVE fantasy geographical placement!
Hey, the kraken had a lease, and the mer-king didn’t want to risk getting sued for discrimination. 😉
Paddington is a whale!
If the Kraken comes back, Paddington can just protect everyone with his huge rock tail. WHACK!
Is it just me or does that cave look like the Yip-yip aliens from Sesame Street?
Holy crap, Paddington is fat in panel 1… 😮
He always looks fat. He always IS fat.
Hey, I just thought of something. How did they get used to swimming with mer-tails so fast? I’d hyperventilate if I found out that I could breathe underwater (is that even possible?).
Any good transformation spell grants the subject comfortable use of their new body.
There was probably a neurological element of the spell that automatically converts the mental impulses for ‘walk over there’ to ‘swim over there’ and controls the tail accordingly.
It’s actually pretty easy to learn. couple of minutes.
Try it with a pair of flippers, monofin, or lunocet.
Whew, another 100 pages down and I must say, where the beginning was a bit of a flat line this story has really evolved. And the artwork, fantastic! I keep thinking, man they should make a wii game out of this. It would be SOOOOO fun to play! We would TOTALLY buy it.
THAT’S not suspicious.
Horatio: “Behold…the cave of imminent vomit.”
Ah, Sir Whalington the Third ~
