…and the wheels in Bognok’s brain start to turn….FINALLY!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to showing you more of the story next week.
I can’t hear or read the word “indeed” without thinking of Teal’c from Stargate.
Makes me think of Yu from Puyo Pop Fever.
Not that I expect anyone this side of pluto to know who that is, nor why.
Dwarf: “This is fun, we should just stand here and watch some more instead of repelling the invaders and coming to the aid of the Elven Ruler who’s trying to reveal the truth to us.”
Dwarf: Sir, the invaders are carry a big neon sign saying, “We hate the elf and her friends, and we are commanded by Nicodemus.”
Dwarf: So…uh…are we gonna help them?
Bognok: …Let’s watch some more.
I love how he justs says “Indeed”! It’s a classic! XD
The wheels of the gods mill slowly. The wheels of the Dwarves are like Windows Vista.
Jeez, took ‘em long enough to finally start rolling! *snicker* Of course, I suppose it’s not often they’re called into use… XD
Is that beastie making out with Nastajia?! Eeewwwww! xD
Why am I expecting “Indeed … the elf’s allies have betrayed her. It’s not our affair”?
BTW, first time poster … I really love the comic.
Quick! Someone get some WD-40 and squirt it in his ear, those wheels need all the help they can get after all those centuries of not being used!
uh-oh, he’s thinking. does anyone else smell burning batteries?
The wheels of the Dwarves are like Windows Vista
wait… that means they’re fast. My windows vista rocks my socks
I don’t know he is awfully stubborn, he might just think that the beasties are trying to rescue only the two of them and leave their companions behind. I guess we will know more on monday though.
Finally! Now maybe Paddington can bring the smackdown! …. What? He’s a big rock guy, he wins if he just lies down and rolls around a bit.
C’mon, Bognok! Get in the game, man!
You think it hurt when those wheels started going?
I came across this series a few days ago and after the first few pages i was hooked! Excellent story, beautifully designed and fully rounded out characters! a True Masterwork for anyone who’s a fan of tales of Elves and Dwarves. Bravo and please keep them coming!!!!
I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I read what Dutch wrote. Huzzah for macs!
Err…is that thing in the first panel eating Nastajia’s face?!
Bognok: Bring me the Royal Popcorn.
Dwarf: Sir, we’re out of Popcorn.
Bognok: Fine, I suppose we’ll have to stop them until I can get more.
Amanda M and Windscythe, both thoughts crossed my mind, but my preferred caption would be, “Pardon me, may I have this dance?” (Yes, her foot is on his shoulder, but use your imagination. The dude has wings.)
But you know, if I wanted to kill or subdue the entire team, I’d begin my focus on Alex and Nastaje as well. They’re the only ones with weapons (not counting body parts or item-independent magic), so it should be relatively easy to reduce the threat they pose.
its like the beasts are saying : long time no see lets hug!
their faces are not so evil as they should be i think
all the dwarves are going like WHAIT A MINUTE?!??! COULD IT BE THAT???? NOOOO WAYYY?!!! REALLY?!?!
LMAO finally dumb a$$. Why does every one believe him..I mean he’s a RED dragon don’t you guys play D&D red dragons are evil. I mean I’d understand if he was gold or something they are good but red…pft dumb
When i read that i just got a big reminder of SG-1
tom flapwell i agree with your second part but they dont have thier wepons because they gave them to the dwarves
tom flapwell they dont have thier wepons anymore because they gave them to the dwarves
oops i said that twice lol
And I can`t wait to read more Scott! Will Bognok be so brave to let his stubbornness go and admit his fault?
Will they kick the beasts out? Will Nicodemus go after them and try to manipulate the dwarves?
yeah what will bognok do?well i cant wait till monday
i wish you did weekends scott so i dont have to wait.this comic is so good
I had a feeling it would come to this stage before he actually started getting a clue, and that when it DID get this far, it would be pretty obvious that they weren’t on the same side.
Now let’s just hope that he doesn’t jump to some weird conclusion like “They broke free from the elf’s enchantment, so are rightfully angry!”
Dwarf: Sire, perhaps if we demonstrated our cultural superiority through the use of some sort of unneccesarrily pretentious affirmative the invaders will lose the will to fight.
“Indeed” is an appropriate response to any statement whatsoever.
“Nice weather today.” “Indeed.”
“I’m being devoured by a boa constrictor, and I don’t like it very much.” “Indeed.”
“The city is being destroyed by zombies from another universe, the authorities are helping them, and they’re being fought off by a little girl with what appears to be an amphibious pyroprojectile monster.” “Indeed.”
Interesting that it took a battle to get Bognok to start thinking. Dwarves seem to be interested only in certain things, including (but not limited to) weapons and battle, forging fine metals, stonecarving and stone work, mining, …
ah, that hamster in his head finally starts to run
Bognok is sounding like Agent Pendergast with all his “indeeds.”
Bognok: “Indeed. Ah do believe ah have been mistaken, mah dear Nastajia. Pahdon me while I command mah troops to attack…”
In the first panel it looks like the monster is kissing Nastajia.
I’ve got to second Amanda M, Windsythe, and Diyedas – It really does look like Nastajia is sharing a passionate kiss with the beastie, especially with her hand on its face like that….
How many kisses, passionate or otherwise, involve the girl A) trying to push the other person away with her foot, and B) gouging at the other person’s eye with here hand? Answer: none in a G-rated comic. Ergo, it’s an attack. Like the face-huggers in Alien.
I wonder if Nicodemus is close by, maybe he’ll show up just as his minions are fought off/dwarven tablet is found or read from….
