When I was in my early twenties, I got a gift certificate for the Bon Marche (since replaced by Macy’s). I went in to buy some clothes and the sales guy said I had the taste of a 40 year old. I looked at him and said, “Great, then when I’m 40 I’ll be in style!” I’ve never worried about what the “styles” were, and I never will.
