I have to wonder how he could spend so many years in dreamland as a kid and not notice the other humans around him. I was trying to defend him, but I’m afraid he is coming off as rather dim
He didn’t need to see other kids. He went on adventures with his non-human friends, and never went to the main market place, for example. It isn’t to hard to defend him:).
Depending on how vast Dreamland is (and I’m guessing the answer to that is simply “very”) its possible that he just never ran into any, or saw other kids and assumed they were dreamlanders
panels 4 and 6 are basically just kiwi and paddington making fun of alex
and i can just imagine them saying “alex when we said you were special we didnt mean it in a good way”
“Who do you think you are?”

He’s only realizing this now? Alex, sometimes I really think you are depriving a village somewhere of its idiot.
He did say that he only hung out with Nastajia, Kiwi, and Paddington.

Or he thought they were dreamlanders.
Paddington: “No, you’re really a figment of my imagination, and you’ll disappear when I wake up!”
I wonder what would happen if Pokemon was in there, or legend of Zelda, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
