Yeah, no brain activity. So they assume he’s died, not checking if he’s breathing, if their equipment is malfunctioning, and so on. And even when they revive him, do they believe his story, or their equipment?
Well, technically, they said brain dead, which doesn’t mean he is dead. His brain has just ceased to function =P
HE WAS A VEGETABLE
Brain controlls not only voluntary functions but also involuntary such as breathing or heartbeat. Brain-dead ppl need mechanical support to keep physically alive.
I’m pretty sure the brain stem handles that stuff, actually. But if you’re brain-dead, the brain stem might also not work I think. Or possibly the only mechanical support they need is an IV of food. I’m not exactly a doctor, so you know, don’t quote me on that…
… he’s always been brain dead…
LOL, he just needed the “clinically” part.
I was waiting for somebody to say that. XD
Her lips look a little weird in the last panel.
She looks a LOT like Wallace from Wallace and Gromit, in that last frame.
Oh great, Nicole…just keep calling him stupid.
this is when he’s thinking “Brain activitity? Whats that?”
Ooooh, man! That’s gotta be some awesome REM sleep, then! O.o
“You had no brain activity.”
“What’s THAT mean.”
“You were clinically brain dead.”
Nicole – Thank you, Miss Monday Morning Quarterback. You just figured this out? This is not a novel condition for dear Alex.
Well his facial expression in the first panel does make it look like he just had a stroke…
I think his mind was literally IN Dreamland, and therefore the brain sends no signals to his real body here in this world. Does that make sense?
