Now that I look closer, it seems like Alex looks a bit younger, in the 2D version of his childhood… He was taller and more gangly, in the 3D version.
Don’t get me wrong: the art is very nice, and I’m not complaining. But rest assured that people who have read the series in 3D will most assuredly always end up comparing the two, if they still have access to the original…
But not to worry: I’m guessing it’s like a father telling his children “I don’t love any one of you better than the others, I just love each one differently”, or something to that effect.
