OMFG – Creepy flying things
Well cue the gargoyles fight scene
Let’s hope he doesn’t wake up in the next few minutes…
Hahaha! Are you referring to the Disney show? xD
Insert lord of the rings mordor theme here.
No! they are Nicodemus’ bastard childs! XD
Geez… So overheated I wrote “childs”. What a dumbass… *blushes*
Sandra, you stup- awwww, I can’t stay mad at you 😀
We all make mistakes, it’s ok. We still love you.
Our heroes finally kiss, smile, cry, cheer, and think about the future — of COURSE the very next panel is full of unimaginable evil coming to REND THEIR SOULS!!
Childs from THA MOOOOOON!
They hella ugly, ya?
slow wtf ‘sound of wet trumping in background’
The baddies were LOOONG overdue
Fly, my pretties, FLY!
yeah i see the metroids. kiwi better get the ice ray working. Seph great comment i wouldn’t of thought of that.
And Balrogs attack the flying ship….(game reference for those who don’t get it)
Oh, shiat, it’s the Romance police of dreamland…
Oww. I can’t help but feel that scene was just to soften us up for some horrific happening…
i totally KNEW this was coming! there is no way all of that could happen without SOMETHING RUINING THE MOMENT
Standard RPG responce: First word, “oh” second word “shizzat”
Well as was said earlier . . . mushy moment = cue attacking enemies. It was a kind gift from the author gods that it took this long to happen. (Or it was a long flight and the monsters refused to stop and ask directions toward said romantic subplot moment, either one.)
i get it jet, but there would only be four or foive at the most
Now they need to find the CIWS guns…
fire up the Goalkeepers!!!
Balrogs are from Middle Earth, so it’s not exactly a game reference, more a literary reference. But games have been made based on the literary source, so it kinda works.
There are, however, also Balors, which are essentially D&D versions of Balrogs.
And how many LOTR fan D&D’ers over the years have deliberately bastardized “Balors” into “Balrogs”? Most, I suspect. Just like in our gaming world, there are no halflings; only Hobbits.
Don’t you mean the other way ’round? no hobbits only halflings?
@aps: he’s referencing an MMO in which an event like this can occur while traveling by sky ship.
Why does this remind me so vividly of my real life? WHY???
This reminds you vividly of your life?
I want to party with *you,* CW.
Nothing like a horde of monsters coming to kill you to ruin a moment.
“rats with wings”
and THIS is where he wakes up 😀
Now hold on, Fellow Dreamlanders – maybe they are the “Guardians,” and maybe they are friendly and just can’t help being so ugly. Maybe they are simply dropping in to pay their respects to Nastajia, Queen of Elves and Pirate Princess. Maybe “SKREEEEEEEE!!!” is just Hideous Gargoyle Monster-Speak for “Hello, dear Elven Lady, we bring you greetings, salutations and cupcakes. Welcome to the Friendly Skies!”
On the other hand, they could simply be Hideous Gargoyle Monsters, in which case it’s time for Alex to make with the stabby and hacky.
Ladies and gentlemen, please bring your seats and tray tables to the fully upright position and fasten your seatbelts. The captain says we are in for a little turbulence….
Who cares what they are?! KILL IT WITH FIRE!
Now would be a good time to do a Bleach maneuver with the sword and wipe out the demons in the sky with a special sword technique!
Somehow, the first thing I though of when I saw the first panel was “Did Paddington move too far to the side?” 😀
And seems like Felicity isn’t the only one lacking in sublty…
Monsters: “Let’s attack from above so they won’t notice us, that is, untill we unleash our battle cry”
Flying monkeys! run away, run away!
o crap !
man the harpoons!
Gargoyles?????? I sudenly feel like I’m four years old, and watching the old tv show…. wo-ow
They remind me of the Krillitanes from Doctor Who
A swarm of wild zubats appear!
