I can’t hear or read the word “indeed” without thinking of Teal’c from Stargate.
Dwarf: “This is fun, we should just stand here and watch some more instead of repelling the invaders and coming to the aid of the Elven Ruler who’s trying to reveal the truth to us.”
Bognok: “Indeed.”
Dwarf: Sir, the invaders are carry a big neon sign saying, “We hate the elf and her friends, and we are commanded by Nicodemus.”
Bognok: Indeed.
Dwarf: So…uh…are we gonna help them?

I came across this series a few days ago and after the first few pages i was hooked! Excellent story, beautifully designed and fully rounded out characters! a True Masterwork for anyone who’s a fan of tales of Elves and Dwarves. Bravo and please keep them coming!!!!

Amanda M and Windscythe, both thoughts crossed my mind, but my preferred caption would be, “Pardon me, may I have this dance?” (Yes, her foot is on his shoulder, but use your imagination. The dude has wings.)
But you know, if I wanted to kill or subdue the entire team, I’d begin my focus on Alex and Nastaje as well. They’re the only ones with weapons (not counting body parts or item-independent magic), so it should be relatively easy to reduce the threat they pose.

I had a feeling it would come to this stage before he actually started getting a clue, and that when it DID get this far, it would be pretty obvious that they weren’t on the same side.
Now let’s just hope that he doesn’t jump to some weird conclusion like “They broke free from the elf’s enchantment, so are rightfully angry!”
Dwarf: Sire, perhaps if we demonstrated our cultural superiority through the use of some sort of unneccesarrily pretentious affirmative the invaders will lose the will to fight.
Bognok: Indeed.

Interesting that it took a battle to get Bognok to start thinking. Dwarves seem to be interested only in certain things, including (but not limited to) weapons and battle, forging fine metals, stonecarving and stone work, mining, …

Bognok is sounding like Agent Pendergast with all his “indeeds.”
Bognok: “Indeed. Ah do believe ah have been mistaken, mah dear Nastajia. Pahdon me while I command mah troops to attack…”
In the first panel it looks like the monster is kissing Nastajia.
I’ve got to second Amanda M, Windsythe, and Diyedas – It really does look like Nastajia is sharing a passionate kiss with the beastie, especially with her hand on its face like that….
