Also, that toothpick-shaped stone column looks very fragile! I’d think a strong wind or a bolt of lightning could bring the whole thing down. That would not be good for the tablet, obviously.

I disagree. I think that’s a very stupid place to put it.
Let’s see… The flying gargoyle-things from the Nightmare realm can fly, the pirates on their flying ship could fly… oh, and Mr. Bad*** himself – Nicodemus – the one who is desperate to destroy all the tablets, he can fly too!

Also, it’s on the highest point in the region, with a sort shrine around it, and very hard to miss. And if the centaurs wanted to protect their tablet after the enemy discovered it… Well, let’s just say they’d need some means of flying themselves.

There are really only three ways to effectively protect the tablets from a determined flying dragon: 1) disguise it as something else, 2) hide it out of sight, or 3) have it in an inaccessible location. Underwater might count as I doubt Nicodemus or many nightmare minions could get to it easily. But this is not so difficult.

I hope they have some kind of security or imaginative traps up there. It seemed like a safe spot to me at first, then I remembered that almost everyone in Dreamland can fly, lol.

Glad to see you back at work; doing what you love is the best therapy.

As I’ve gathered from your comments, it looks like Alex is going to be starting on a course which will make him more pro-active, and more in charge of his own fate.

I don’t know if you’ve ever explained all the details of his life at home, but it looks like you’ve set him up with someone who can provide him with a role model for his own personal growth, something he seems to have been lacking. I’d say Alex seems to have all the potential character attributes necessary to fully become the hero Dreamland – and Nastajia – need, but until now he’s lacked the drive and the judgment to put them all together effectively.

Watching that happen is going to be interesting…

Just as it will be seeing how Nicole copes with her new world.
